YOUR SOCIAL PROJECT

About Us & Our Message

Let's start to change and do what we can do!

Your problem may actually be social problem. If we all think together and cooperate, we can surely solve the problem. Let's start from where we can do. We will start anyway!

This project was started by two ordinary girls living in Yokohama who hoped to improve society and the environment.

One is an ordinary office worker and the other is a small self-employed person. We started with the motto, "Do as much as you can do."

Besides this project, we are also members of local communities in Zushi and Tokyo, as well as Yokohama, and are involved in their own activities. Therefore, this site also introduces recommended local activities and citizen communities. First of all, please take a look at each activity. And we would be happy if you could participate in the ones that interest you.

We would like to cooperate with others who have same mind together regardless where you are, one by one.

It is we ourselves who can change our future.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation!

In February 2024, more than 300 citizen volunteers gathered for the "Wouldn't It Be Great If XX Were at Our Yamashita Pier?" project and released a proposal titled "The Future of Yamashita Pier: Created and Nurtured by Citizens." The proposal received significant attention and sparked discussions.

To further spread awareness of this proposal and use it as a foundation for shaping the future of Yamashita Pier and Yokohama’s urban development, the "Citizens' Symposium Executive Committee for Yamashita Pier" was established in late August. The committee aims to promote citizen participation and collaboration in city planning.

The symposium will take place on Friday, November 8, at 7:00 PM in Room 1 of the Yokohama Port Opening Memorial Hall.

This is a documentary film on the issue of nuclear testing in the U.S. state of Nevada about 70 years ago.

Director Hideo Ito has been covering this issue since 2004 in order to convey the fact of radioactive contamination caused by past nuclear tests, which is almost unknown in the United States.

Let's use this film as an opportunity to think about the future of our countries and to let people in the U.S. know the facts to protect our beautiful planet.

The website of the proposal book "It would be nice if there were a XXX in Yamashita Pier" was opened!

In 2021, the will and power of the citizens led to the elimination of the casino project in Yokohama. Citizens felt that they had a responsibility to show the City of Yokohama an alternative.

Therefore, a group of volunteer citizens started a plan to coordinate with the Yamashita Pier redevelopment project, and to ask themselves what kind of Yokohama they would like to see for everyone.
